Cecked with the Bank today it is legit, Its Service NSW (previously RTA). NSW government needs to get their finger out and update the transaction description with a meaningful message.

It took a while for me to think of what this 'purchase' was. Considering what people are suggesting this to be an rta payment (considering I don't drive). Then it came to me, it cost $49 dollars for the drivers test!. So it was (in my case at least) a ligitement charge to my account.
Took ages to figure out it is actually legit & as someone pointed out , the REAL needs to up date what appears on bank statements as it is extremely confusing & disconcerting as it stands.

My teenage daughter just sat her "Hazard Perception Test" with RTA which cost $46. Apparently you must sit this test before applying for your "P" Plates. This charge has appeared on my statement as: 200 RMS internet / IVR SURRY HILLS.

Booked hazard perception test for $46 and it came up as 200 RMS internet/ IVR Surry Hills on my bank statement. Thought it was a scam but I don't think so, now that I'm looking at the comments. I will check with the bank tomorrow morning though, just to make sure.
Legitimate. I ordered a number plate for my bike rack through a link from RTA website and these details appeared on my cc statement with the expected charge. It would be nice if the details related somehow to something I recognised, as it's hard to keep track.
