Apparently, this store has this problem a lot. I was issued an EDD B.O.A card from CALIFORNIA due to this Covid Unemployment crisis. I had the unfortunate experience of getting hacked by someone purchasing $715.31 from this store, Bed Bath & Beyond store number 651 in Totowa New Jersey, 07512. I called the store because the transaction was still pending, from what B.O.A explained. Therefore, calling them will alert them so they can put a stop to payment. This is a government debit card so it can''t be used online. So, I called the store and spoke with the store manager, Jennifer Orellana, who was extremely rude and aggressive. She talked over me by trying to explain they can''t do anything for me. So I guess the next best thing was to shove me off to call their 800 number customer service line as if $700.00 worth of theft and fraud that''s attached to their store isn''t a big idea. Or, maybe this is something that happens frequently because just with a simple store google search, there were multiple complaints about this problem with this EXACT store! I tried to explain it''s a debit card and can''t be used in the store and that it happened on 8.10.20 at 21:01 pm. She continued to be verbally belligerent and rudely expressed that the store closes at 7:00 pm so I guess therefore proving her point. What I do know is this store has $715.31 of my money! Problem number 2, this store seems to be notorious for these financial privacy malpractices. I presume I can''t expect a popular store to be professional when they have multiple financial hacks and leadership with poor attitudes. This district store''s manager''s name is Joanne Miller, she too needs to be alerted since this is the store she manages.
