This was for the renewal of my driver's license. MTO RUS-SO OTTAWA MTO & SO, I agree with previous interpretations. RUS - ? someone from the Ministry of Transportation should explain.
This charge on my credit card statement is legitimate - however I do have a complaint. Of a list of over 50 transactions last month on my cards, this is the ONLY one described by a semi-meaningless acronym. Every other merchant and service charge was described in whole words!

I received an Invoice for MTO-RUS D&V ARIR-IMP. Being invoiced for $233. I went to Ministry Of Finance on 33 King west Oshawa they did not what the charges was for Sent me to MTO. MTO could not tell me what was it for. Asked me to call Licensing Office 416-235-2999. They checked their records on both my cars and license suspension that came clean. Was told to call to call Finance Office 416-250-7250 who asked me to email the copy of Invoice to contactcenter@fsrao.ca. No fines or charges could not tell me what is it for. Can someone out there have received invoice like me? do you still think it is legit.
Yes it is legitimate. You probably made a Service Ontario visit for Health Card (every 5 years) and/or Driver's License Renewal (1-2 years) and forgot. Great website!
