My debit card statement shows a series of charges, dated Feb. 11, 2019 in the amounts of $0.99, $1.00, and $39.99. These charges are unknown to me, and when I called the phone number listed for the site, (877-253-8962) , the number comes up as "NOT IN SERVICE". i BELIEVE THESE ARE FRAUDULENT CHARGES, AS I HAVE NO WAY TO CONFIRM THEIR VALIDITY. Yes, this is a dating (so called) site. Since they show some nudity, they are required to validate age. They use having a valid credit card account as proof. They supposedly put a hold on $1.00 the make sure the account is valid. The hold is supposed to drop off because the verification process is supposed to be, according to their website, totally free. It even says at the bottom of their ad, that your credit card is not charged. The dollar never falls off and is collected by the site. They also add a recurring monthly charge, being $29.95, $39.95, and sometimes as much as $49.95, even if you uncheck all the boxes for there offers for other sites. When you call the number that they report to your banking institution, it's always busy. Call you bank, and then your state representative to put pressure on the sites that are hosting this kind of fraud.
