I received a charge to my credit card with no phone number reference from AT&T. The charge was listed as: $65.69 CHECKCARD 03/21 AT&T V500 10080 MEMPHIS TN. Turns out it was from a Point of sale transaction at an AT&T store. My account was reckoned after we exchanged a new phone for an upgrade. Fee was for the additional cost of the phone and a restocking fee. Bottom line, this was a legitimate charge.
October 18, 2018, the following transaction appeared on my credit care: AT&T V500 1008080033105 TN $101.50. No idea what it was for. Have not been in TN for years. No AT&T store in my town. It is either a scam or someone got my credit card number.
Today I noticed an unauthorized charge on my debit card for $174.00. The merchant name was "AT&T V500 10080 MEMPHIS TNUS". This was absolutely fraudulent as I DO NOT have AT&T for anything nor have I ever. I immediately contacted my bank, reported the charge as fraud, froze my card, and requested expedited shipping of a new card. I should get reimbursed soon. These people need to be stopped!
