This charge looks suspicious because it comes up in two parts on your credit card statement . To verify the two amounts are accurate you have to retrieve your original receipt from the Park House (Pub) at Mona Vale - what it looks like is that they are automatically charging you a Service charge (A Tip) - rather than making it discretionary for the customer. I paid my Tips at the Park House for my two meals over the last month in cash and then they have charged me automatically on my credit card also. I wont be eating there again unless they reimburse me the tips that were automatically deducted from my Credit Card. Regards Duncan
yes, had lunch at the 'new' Mona Vale Hotel, and found on statement a week later with additional 3 charges of around $33.00 on top of the initial lunch bill. I will be contacting the hotels management today and then the police and bank to see where this goes. If you go to the hotel pay CASH only!!
Had lunch at mona pub Jan 2022. Saw my CC statement and wondered what SLM charge was for. Checked on Google The charge was legit for me. No extra charge. All ok
I went to the park house on Thursday the 6th April 2023. I bought one drink for $10 then when I check my account there was a $83.98 charge added at the same time. They said they have no record of the transaction I’m now on hold to the bank.
