I was just about to call my bank and report this. A couple more google searches later realized it is the company that makes AIR and VACUUM machines you find in gas stations. I filled air in my car tires and that was the charge of $1.25.

Update on on fraudulent charge from USA.Rhino Air vend Calumet City IL and 3 more from Michigan for gas, food etc. These were fraudulent charges. It started out with a 1.25 charge which set off an alert to the fraud dept for my bank and they called late last night. By the time we responded and went to the bank in the morning 3 other charges were put on our bank card that were denied thankfully but the thief did get the 1.25 which opens the account for him/her to access more. We do not know how this happened seeing that this card was not used much on our part.

I lost my credit card a few days ago on a plane or in the airport. I was hoping it would get turned into lost and found, or I would find it, but I locked it just in case. Tonight, three days later, I got an email notification from my credit card co. that someone tried to make a purchase for $1.25 at Rhino Air, but it got denied since I locked the account. I am guessing that whoever has my card was testing it to see if it worked. If it had worked, they probably would have started buying other stuff with it. Some people are scum bags.

I saw this on my account as well. I was suspicious until I remembered I had to use my card at a gas station air pump because I did not have quarters. This is a legit charge.

Had a charge to my account, using the card I had on my person while I was at work. It is for the tire air machines but I did not make the purchase. I’d assume it was to test the account for access. Cancelled card.

Noticed a charge for $1.75 on my Chase Visa credit card statement that I did not recognize. Indicated the charge was made in South Bend, IN and I was no where near South Bend on that day. Reported it to Chase as an unauthorized charge and have been advised the account will be closed and a new card issued.

I use the air machine at the gas station yesterday it originally charged me $1.50 and then today it updated the charge to $2.60 the actual charge on the machine is only supposed to be $1.75 so I am disputing the charge because this is not the first time these rhino machines have overcharged me a day or two later when they finalize the charge. I used a prepaid card that only had a couple dollars on it and it actually ended up overdrafting me when they updated the charge.
