This is a big scam. You don't need to go through this lot online to book a car. It is a payment for nothing and they are making millions by it. Always go direct to the car hire company and miss out this 'middle man'.
I tried to rent a car with rentalcars.com and avis.com, both were refused as I have a debit card and not a credit card. But 179.15 Euros were debited from my debit card by www-economycarrentals-iraklio-grc although I was not dealing with it at any moment. Expensive scam. What can be done?
