DIGITALRIVER IRELAND SYDNEY AU

I was checking this after it appeared on my credit card, but was able to match it to a purchase I made for Kaspersky Antivirus. Seems legit (in my case anyway YMMV)

I did make one purchase for Internet security that resulted in the first charge, but a few days later I was charged again without making a purchase. So I wouldn't say it's totally legit.

Have just had to cancel my credit card as I disputed a charge of 49.99 for "software" I never bought.

DigitalRiver Ireland has managed to steal money out of my bank account. I don't know who they are but on researching them on the internet they seem to be able to do what they want with other people's money. They are a scam. Report them immediately.

I have only been charged $15 by Digital River Ireland Sydney but i did not authorize this transaction and i did not purchase or authorize the purchase of any software as some have mentioned in previous posts. I have disputed this with my bank and they have advised funds will be returned within 3 days and a new card issued. This is clearly not a legitimate transaction.

Just rcvd statement, I had this company last year, and now they r at it again. I did not authorise a charge $129.95. I did get a refund last year, so will do the same again. HOW CAN THEY DO THIS AGAIN AND HAVE NOT BEEN CHARGED!!!!!

I just saw a debit for @54.99 on my VISA card so I rang my bank. They told me that they will have to cancel my card and issue another. A safe solution - but now I have to contact everyone with whom I have direct debit arrangements. This is a long and onerous task which I can not commence until I receive my new card and its number. This is a real pain!

On October 16 a charge appeared on my credit card for $155.07 with a reference number. I have never bought anything from this company and I am sure it is a scam. Will proceed with tring for a refund.

I was charged with $45.63 from Digital River Ireland and it was for my Kaspersky Antivirus software . Automatic renewal, which is OK as I needed to renew it. Perhaps they are covering a few different brands of Anitirus software. If your software becomes out of date, most of them have a built in auto renewal. It's good to set it up and leave it as you need something to protect your computer.

I too have automatic Kaspersky renewral . Not sure if the $109.95 charged is for multiple computers though . Cant remember from last year if they email a receipt.

Noticed a bill of $69.99 charged to my debit card under 'DIGITALRIVER IRELAND SYDNEY NS AUS' and immediately became suspicious, but upon checking the date, it appears to be for my 12 month renewal of Avast Antivirus. So in my case, it was a legitimate transaction. Just wish it'd appear as 'Avast AntiVirus' on my statement, to avoid confusion.

Noticed a charge of $710.00 charged to my credit card under 'DIGITALRIVER IRELAND SYDNEY when reconciling our corporate statement. This charge was definitely not authorized.We have reported to the bank and card has been cancelled. For corporate card there is 10 business day wait for replacement card!!

Renewal for AVG virus protection was due so paid the subscription through my credit card . However the next day a similar charge & description came up under Digital River Ireland Sydney. I became suspicious & contacted my bank & cancelled the card. Also contacted AVG & they have agreed to refund the money charged. AVG were most apologetic but has caused a lot of inconvenience.

Have had a mysterious charge of 104.99 on my account from Digital River Ireland Sydney. Not an authorised debit. Have had to cancel my card and wait for dispute resolution.

"Digital River Ireland Sydney AU" is a SCAM ...It appeared on my account (Pending VISA) as a A$0.99 attempted deduction in connection with my Order for 'Avast Cleanup Premium'.... Fortunately, that fraudulent attempt was removed by VISA after a few days. ..

Just noticed a charge from this company for $188 on my bank statement. I recently purchased a new computer and at the same time new internet security which was supposed to be a 12 month subscription for $49. I did not purchase the product online through digital river. I followed up with my bank and the provider and have had to cancel my card and go through the dispute resolution process. The contact numbers I was given for Digital River have been disconnected and the URL appears to link directly to the legitimate software company but the page is unavailable. The only other contact number has a voice message advising that they are only open Monday to Friday. I don't know how they managed to obtain my card details but I agree with previous posts that this appears to be a scam.

Had a charge from this company through on my card. Bank gave us a contact number for the company but it's disconnected. I've never purchased anything related to computer security or the like and very few things have my card number, seems like a fraud

Have had my new card scammed on 5th November 2018, ($69.99) it is a cash card. Am in the process of dispute resolution with the card company. Never heard of Digitalriver Ireland before.

I use Trend Micro for computer, mobile and iPad security. I have been receiving emails from Trend Micro advising my account would expire on a certain date. I rang and renewed for another 12 months. ( chose not to agree to “ auto renewal”. I was charged 135.95 via credit card and the understanding I will receive a $ 50 credit in a number of weeks as a bonus for renewing. I have faith that this will happen as found them to be helpful. It wasn’t until I noticed the details relating to the transaction “ DIGITALRIVER IRELAND” and googled it that I recognise the transaction as the one from Trend Micro.

COMPLETE scam. My AVG subscription was purchased April 22 2018. They took $189 December 20th 2018 even though it's not due for renewal until April 22 2019. Been on the phone to them for 1 hour and they have no idea about it. FFS.

Last month I was charged $49.95 by Digitalriver Ireland Sydney AU. Have not bought any digital software - scam as far as I am concerned.

Billed our account before we finished entering all purchase requirements. We where purchasing a lapydesk! when our address was questioned went to correct, they had already taken the money out of our account. Banks have no idea who these people are!!!!!!

Mine is a charge for purchasing Trend Internet Security

In my case, this appears to be a legitimate transaction for my Trend Micro anti-virus software. The renewal notice period and dollar amount $99.95 matches with the email correspondence I have and although the email suggests that the transaction will show "DRI*Trend Micro" as the merchant, it actually shows as "DIGITALRIVER IRELAND SYDNEY AU". DRI = DIGITALRIVER IRELAND apparently...

Purchased AVG Anti Virus. Got charged for $49.95 05/02/2020. Open Transaction details DIGITALRIVER SYDNEY NS AUS. I did not receive any email confirmation as per usual from any company after purchase, but sent notification that software was activated, ready to use. Unfortunately I am still trying to open it. Called Ph; 61 1800 429 319 but could not be connected.

I contacted AVG after receiving a small Charge from the mentioned company and was informed it was a charge from that company for handling the invoice and that customers were being made aware of that .

Had a charge of $69.55 taken off my credit card, by Digital River AU. I had cancelled this software payment two years before. Also during this time my bank changed fro Visa to Mastercard with a whole new set of numbers and I.D. I originally dealt through Digital River Ireland. This payment was taken by Digital River.AU. This is definitely a scam site. I cannot get a reply from either group.

I have been charged by digital River AGAIN and have tried several times to stop the charges being deducted from my account, nobody gets back to me ever, from anywhere like Digital. I have contacted my bank AGAIN. My charge is $53.99 last one being. 10/10/2023 Any contact numbers I have tried are not acknowledging me, and this so-called company is not available to contact in any form. This has to be another scam
