This is a legitimate group. EWG is active in stopping GMO foods or at least trying to get them labeled as such. There is a big drive to prevent the labeling of foods as GMO or Natural or Organic unless the government allows it. The law is currently in the House for a vote and if passed, it will be very difficult for anyone to label foods Organic and it will make it illegal to identify food origins (eg. China) or if it is a GMO. They are good people promoting local food supplies etc. Check them out.
Many frauleulent charges on my credit card overnight from this - I've never even heard of it
