I think I've been scam by this guy real bad. I walked out of an airport and was about to go to get a taxi at SFO on 6/21/17, and this guy in an umarked Toyota hybrid Camry asked if we need a taxi, I said yes and got on. He asked us where we were heading and told us to input the address into his GPS/iPhone and told us that it was going to be $220 dollars to get to Pittsburg. He told us that it was the taxi rate (note that it only cost $80 for lift and $76 for uber) I told him that it was too expensive and that I wanted to get out. He asked that we need to pay him $20 dollars. His reasoning for the $20 dollars was that he already drove 10 ft and now he's out of the loading zone. My family was tired so I just paid and got out. I later found out that there unmarked cars like that aren't allowed to work at the airport and that they needed a certificate to work there. Lyft and uber were suppose to only pick up on the 2ns floor of SFO. I'm going to report this to the bank and claim fraud.
Update: i look at my bank charge, it is now charged for $28.27. At first, he requested that we paid him $20 dollars, then charge us $21.50 on his square up/iPhone and a few days later, he actually up the charge to $28.27 for driving 10ft and he stated that it was the taxi rate. What a scam! I called SFO non emergency and they agree that this was unacceptable and that they take matter like these extremely serious and I also called my bank and they're investigating into this.
