I booked a room for the Baden Powell Hotel in Collingwood via booking.com. A day later I cancelled the booking. The cancellation was free (I double checked), and the initial booking wasn't for months, so even if I hadn't cancelled there wouldn't have been a charge on my card for ages. In around 4 weeks Baden Powell Nominees charged $100 to my credit card. I emailed the Baden Powell Hotel to see if there was a mix up - they never replied. The bank, thankfully, refunded the charge.
