I have no idea who this 'vendor' is, but happened to be in the Dallas area during the week of April 11th - 18th. The BATKY charge came through on the 18th for a flat $50. That was the day I was flying home to Colorado and know I did not use my card for any purchase of that price. My bank has been alerted, but please speak out about this and investigate it, it is a scam. Find out who might have given the information to BATKY. The only place I can think of is a gas station in Crandall, outside of Pleasant Grove, a suburb of South Dallas between the city and Kaufman. ....So angry about this, canceling my card.

Typically $50 charges are 'pre charges' at the gas station. (The BAT might refer to Batch code) - contact the credit card for further identifying information and/or dispute and documentation. It may be a gas station using credit as a 'hold' and these process off in about 3 days. or Someone might have used a scanner, copied your info during a purchase, and the charge is a test to see if it works or not. They typically test the account (with a 20 or 50 charge) then create a duplicate card if the charge works. This takes about 10 days. Either way, close the card and reissue because of the potential for future unauthorized charges or theft. (I used to work financial services, have encountered this type of theft)
