June 27th, I paid a all included week car rental reservation to Auto-Europe (a branch of Hertz?) starting August 4th 2016. I made my trip and brought back the car as requested August 11th at 12:00. The tank was full and the car in the same condition it was when taken over a week ago. The employee who examined the car signed me a release paper and said that everything was find. But back home August 12, the so called HERTZ DE ESPANA SA LAS ROZAS MAD ESP June 27th, I paid a all included week car rental reservation to Auto-Europe, a Air Canada Vacations partner. But back home August 12, the so called HERTZ DE ESPANA SA LAS ROZAS MAD ESP, company through which I got the car in Barcelona had charged my credit card for 398 dollars (Canadian) without any explanation. August 15, I got an Email from the following ER Email address : mantori.com, saying « Your crеdit сard hаs been billed for $233,90. (I assume that the $ sign here is related to Euros at an exchange rate far over the actual common rate of 1.5 X Can $ for 1 Euro…). For thе dеtails аbout this transасtiоn, pleasе seе the ID: 461323293 trаnsaсtiоn reрort attаched. The attached was a Zip file that I’ve never been able to open. Which company with honest practices send you a bill in a Zip file? I am asking. I still don’t know what they are charging me for. I tried to join Auto-Europe a company based in Maine but never been able to have a decent explanation except some girl saying that I was an hour late to give back the car which is untrue and would mean that they are charging 400 $ an hour in such a case… As I was mad and wanted honest explanation regarding that felony, a guy from Auto-Europe started to yell at me like a Cro-Magnon. It ended there. I also have to say that I am French and made reservation in that language but never been able to get someone speaking that language to answer my question and solve my complaint. It seams that their corporative culture is to speak to you in you language when it’s time to sell, but to yell at you in English when it’s time to solve a problem. I encountered the same philosophy with Vacances Air Canada (Air Canada Vacations) who is Hertz and Auto-Europe partner through which I was conducted in that criminal plot… When explaining my case to Vacances Air Canada Customer Service in my own language, I got a standard letter of acknowledgement in English only. , company through which I got the car in Barcelona had charged my credit card for 398 dollars (Canadian) without any explanation. Same thing just happened to me with Hertz in Malaga, Spain. Returned the car on the 24th on July with a full tank, gave the key to the employee and he said "thanks" and they have billed me 73.32 Euros (110.02$ CAD). I will have to call VISA because this is not normal and I will also call Hertz in Spain.

I rented a car from Hertz in Spain in June, returned it full and was charged $40 Euros from HERTZ DE ESPANA SA LAS ROZAS MAD in September. I called Hertz and they provided no help. I am disputing the charge with Visa.

I rented a hertz car in Barcelona Spain and had an accident. Hertz is telling me I did not purchase insurance from them so I cannot file for a medical claim. I actually purchased insurance from this HETZ De espana sa las rozas mades and had possession of the car for 5 days. Not sure why Hertz is telling me I did not purchase insurance from them.
