£1.00 payment as card clearance for car parking payment at a multistorey car park using ANPR (Automatic Number Plate recognition system. Adjusted to full payment followed when payment cleared.
Ignore my previous comment, as I'm 100% certain now. The £1.00 charge is a test purchase made by Paypal to verify credit cards registered to support Paypal purchasing activity on websites such as Ebay. Once the four digit code is entered as evidence on the Paypal account the card is considred validated and the charge is refunded. I've done this on Paypal three times with one debit and two credit cards and the charge payment is consistant across all accoounts - the actual four digit code varies each time.
