Likely to be a subscription to something you have purchased.
Not for magazine subscription in my case but a one-off purchase.
RBI QSS SUBS in my case was a subscription to New Scientist. I believe there is no problem with this abbreviation on your credit card bill.
Subscription to estates gazette.

It was a subscription to New Scientist
This was my New Scientist subscription - not suspicious.
My Fidelity Master Card identified RBI QSS SUBS. I could not identify what the charge meant until I accessed your web site to confirm it was for a 3 year subscription to New Scientist. It would be helpful if you would consider inserting the name of the magazine in the Master Card statement.
Using RBI QSS Sub instead of New Scientist means nothing. The wording definitely ought to be more meaningful. I was worried about the deduction on my Mastercard bill until I read the previous emails.
Same thing. Ordered the subscription 3 months ago, just now showed up. And yes, if they change the name to reflect what the charge is, it would be helpful. Thought I was scammed and caused great distress thinking my card # had been stolen!
As per above comments of May/June 2017, I experienced the same confusion and anxiety regarding misuse of my credita card; if one purchases as product, specially online, one expects to see the name of the seller/provider to show up on a credit account, not the business acronym/name of an unkwnown entity. I had the same issue and had to scrutinise my emails to find out who RBI QSS happen to be. It was avery unpleasant experience... Nevertheless, the charge seems to be honest and appropriate (ie for a New Scientist Magazine subscription)
RBI QSS SUBS is unidentifiable. It should be more transparent, or specific.
I just renewed my subscription to New Scientist magazine and online access about June 26, 2017 and it appeared on my credit card bill. It would be nice if the statement description would be "New Scientist Mag. Renewal".
