I had two payments of $100 and $ 186 to the same scoundrels,NSW OPAL Transport? along with paying for some thiefs Vodaphone payment of $186..they had a field day with my account, Visa Debit and although the bank has supposedly "STOPPED" my card, there was another payment of $2.70 odd taken out today and an Overdrawn fee of $6.00 from my Bank!!! WTF?
I just got stung with this this week. Three (3) charges, for $60, $60 & $40 all on 27 May. :(

My visa card was charged unauthorised 1 x $10.00, 1 x $60.00, 1 x $80.00 and 1 x $80.00 in that order on the same day, 28 November 2017. ANZ has confirmed that my card has been compromised and has been canceled now by the bank. Definitely fraudulent activity by someone who has stolen or scammed my credit card details.
Same as other reports. Unauthorized charge $80 twice in one day.
Charged one lousy $10 fee then bang, had the card details, 24 times accessed for over $8000, yeah the Bank was not onto it.
Card charged with $277 in fraudulent charges. Bank stopped another 30 transactions including foreign transaction fees. Sorry for Ross, that must have been a shock ... $8,000!

How to deal with This nightmare? Can the bank stop the charge or put the charge on hold since it is unauthorised charge?? If the bank can’t stop that which seems ridiculous, then How to get the money back? How long it will take for the bank to take the action?
It's the nsw train ride payments my payment was for tickets from Sydney airport 20 dollars each way .but 4.60 was taken out for I Don't now so I'm check with the opal tickets on nsw transport
Unauthorised fraudulent card charge of almost $500. Repeated $10 charges were made over 5 months. Sometimes number of times a day. All for NSW. Opal transport. Chippendale. Called my bank and talked to the department that handles scam. I cancel my cards today.
I made a payment to a company for medication, but never received the goods. Then I found this transaction on my card and found it was a scam when I googled transport for NSW opal. No idea how this happened Have contacted the person who distributes the medication and he is following it up
I recharged my opal on Wiley Park station so it comes on my bank transactions.. I think its not scam..
I got 1st charged 2 weeks ago, I believed it's my opal card auto recharge for $20. Then I got $40 charges in 2 days, $20 each but I only stayed home and figure it out it's a scam. I called my bank directly and cancelled my card. I wanted my money back!!!
Got an unauthorised fraudulent card charge of $10. I reached out to the bank to report and cancelled the card.
It has happening since June 2022 and I only discovered it, how cunning is this criminal. I did not suspect since name was Transportfornsw, they need to be caught and Punished. I built up to $1000 so far.
Regarding unauthorised fraudulent card charge of $10 above, I just found out with Opal. I lost my Opal card last year and blocked it. Somebody tried to use it last week and somehow the automatic top-up worked with the blocked card. The card was re-blocked again automatically after the fraudulent trip but the $10 was still there on the opal card. Opal will send me an Opal card with $10 credit on it.

My latest credit card statement has 14 `TRANSPORTFORNSW OPAL CHIPPENDALE' transactions totalling $640 I have not been in Sydney at any time during the period of this statement.
