unauthorized charge - who are these people?
According to this other website it is a vending machine. Did you buy something from a vending machine? https://www.whatsthatcharge.com/AVE-C-MKT-888979TROY-MI
I do not recognize this charge and I don't buy things in vending machines. Chase not being very helpful, which will be a problem for them as I may ditch their card. $1.99...no big deal except if it isn't legit X thousands of people it becomes quite profitable
Several of these charges were on my bank statement...NOT MINE! Chase Bank also NOT helpful and reversed the initial 'refund' they issued to my checking account. Even AFTER I canceled my debit card and received a new one, there were more charges. I'm banking somewhere else!!!
This charge on my Wells Fargo debit card turned out to be for a vending machine at my husbands' work place - I knew we hadn't been anywhere near Troy, MI !!
I too kinda freaked out when I saw this on my Wells Fargo statement. BUT...for me, it was totally legit (albeit certainly an unexpected 'name' for the 'merchant'). In my case, it was a special 'scanning' type machine that effectively was a vending machine in the cafeteria where I work. All the goods are in racks, it's a self serve, honor system kind of thing. You pick what you want, scan the bar code on the machine, and swipe your credit card (virtually identical to what you find in Home Depot or big chain grocery stores as 'self checkout').
I had fraud on my account and when reviewing all transactions saw this ave c and said wait I've never been in Michigan. BOA refunded everything, then it happened again. I called back and then realized its the market my company has in our break room that has a self check out. I have never been more embarrassed. I used the returned funds to pay some extra bill and now I am going to have to pay it all back.
Self-pay kiosk in my office. I didn’t know what it was at first, did some digging online, legit charges on my debit.
The company I work for has a food vending service (Company Kitchen) that stocks our coolers with beverages and food items. This (401339 3 AVENUE C SECURE PAY TROY * MI) charge showed up after I loaded $5.00 into my company's food vending account. So I think it is secured and should be trusted if you have purchased food vending items.
This is a legitimate charge from a self serve machine for employees to buy snacks at my work.
Vending company used by the company I work for. Coffee machines, kiosks, etc..
I started seeing all these $3-$5 charges from these guys and was about to dispute it..when I realized these charges for the convenience store in the lobby of my office building! WHEW!
I'm in Florida and used a vending machine apparently operated by this Michigan company. Charge was legitimate.
