Shell station just south of Cancun,MX takes money for gass and makes large charges at the same time to your card from Mexico City beware
This exact thing happened to me. The secondary charge showed as CIPMX XELBORTAXIS and was ~500$
We stopped at the gas station to top off our tank before dropping off our rental card. The actual charge was $249 MX so about $14 NOT, the $83 US that appeared on our credit card statement.
Same as Victoria H, I stopped to top off rental car tank, was about $650 MX (about $38) but $111 USD appeared on my credit card charges. I have the receipt showing $650 and am disputing it.
