This was a balance of -51.23 for me. I called my credit card and they told me it was a refund for the uncashed checks that they sent me for my cash back rewards.

My case was a cashback reward check not deposited and when called, they put it into the credit card as a refund

On my Citi Home Depot card, it was a credit for abandoned property. It was classified as a return. Upon reviewing my account, it was an unprocessed credit (check) issued by Citi.
