THESE PEOPLE ARE GAINING ACCESS TO YOUR CREDIT CARD WHEN YOU APPLY FOR YOUR BCBS MARKETPLACE INSURANCE. BCBS AND THE MARKETPLACE SHOULD GET RID OF THESE SCAM AGENTS WHO ARE TAKING MONEY FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS AND REFUSE TO REFUND THE CHARGES.
How can I stop this from coming out of my checking account? HELP!zn3eky
My husband got insurance for our son using marketplace late February of this year, as of today 3 charges appeared from VBA NEA Scottsdale AZ for 47.98 each. Our bank cancelled his debit card and issued a new one.
I just signed up through the marketplace to get BCBS.. AND NOW HAVE $47.98 OUT OF MY ACCOUNT FOMR THESE VBA NEA AZ SCAMMERS!!!!!
I do not think this is a scam. I got BCBS through the marketplace and my agent clearly told me that this was an extra charge NOT included in the basic policy. So check to make sure that you read the fine print. Maybe it was not clear. Good luck.
They've been taken out 37.95 for 18 months from me
Yes, I've this on my recent bank statement too. I have no idea where that came from!
This is an insurance plan that is being tacked on to individuals who have to purchase their insurance plan through the marketplace with BCBS (possible others but I can't be sure of that). It is a deceptive practice where they call you the following day to "confirm" your purchase. At that time they confirm the Accident plan as well as the insurance plan that you called to purchase. You are then charged through this company for your accident insurance that will cover your deductible in case you have medical bills as a result of an accident. This charge is approximately $50 per month and is debited from you account by this company using the information you gave to debit your insurance plan. If it all seems confusing, it was probably meant to be. The broker sell the insurance for this company but are not clear when they speak with you because when they call they gloss over it and then spend the majority of the call talking about your insurance plan that you actually wanted and asking you the same questions that they asked the previous day. In my book this is as much a SCAM as if they call and pretend to be someone else because they are selling for a company that is not the company you wanted to deal with. Be careful because they also tack on a life insurance policy. You can call the company by calling 800-366-2467 ext. 126 to complain and initiate a refund. Also you can contact 813-365-3028 if you have a Florida plan. They are one of the brokerage companies involved in this practice, but you can contact whatever brokerage you spoke with. What they are doing is taking advantage of a vulnerable population.
This is an accident insurance policy that is added to my daughter's health insurance policy. It started when I obtained "a la carte" policies for her health insurance, dental insurance, and this accident policy.
