Unauthorized charge from VCN LA COUNTY Norwalk CA
Charge for ordering copies of vital records, in my case a new Birth Certificate, through a third party service they use since they are not set up to take online payments.
Charged $9 for INQUIRING about ordering a birth cert...only inquiring...sounds like stealing to me...

I checked my account and seen that I was charged for $9. I inquired about ordering a birth certificate online but never ordered it. I actually went to Norwalk Hall of records. I paid in person for a copy of my son's birth certificate. This is outrageous!! I'm confused why I'm being charged a fee when I never went through with their services.

Apparently it is the processing fee by vitalchek that is due whether or not you completed the transaction after they asked for additional documentation.

My debit card account was just charged $9 at 11:19 p.m. last night by VCN LA COUNTY, but I never purchased anything from them nor done any business with them. My bank blocked my card because they said it is a scam. They withdraw small amounts to see if the account is viable and hope the account holder doesn't notice the small charges, then they withdraw large/larger amounts. This is terrible.
I tried to order from them about two or 3 months ago and they never processed my request then. This afternoon I get a charge?! No I'm sorry there was never mention of any processing fee especially when you never processed anything! I reported to my bank
