These people called and pretended to be DIRECT TV and said they needed to update our receiver. If we didn't do it we would lose our service and channels. It would be a 1 time charge of 199.99 + tax which equalled 220.00 and in 2 months they would reimburse us. They also said they would take 40.00 off our monthly bill for the next two years. I had to wait on the phone for 30 min. while they said they were updating our receiver. Then a supervisor called back in 30 minutes and wanted me to check our channels to make sure they were there. Afterwards, I called Direct TV and they said they were not doing any upgrades. So I knew then it was a scam. They charged my bank account 220.00. I have reported them to several resources. They are under a investigation. Dont fall for anything with this name. If you do, please report them. These people need to be stopped.

The exact same thing happened to my elderly father. They seem to target older people.

i also received a call that my receiver needed to be updated. They said that I had to pay 249.99 and charge would be by credit card a one time charge. Dish would reimburse by $20.00 per month for two years. The name of the guy that called was Denny and his ID was 700A. Now that i had a business name to check on computer I found this information to be a scam.

My father received a call saying that his Dish Network receiver was being upgraded and that he needed to pay a $199 fee. I called Dish Network and was told that they had no affiliation with Wireless Link and were not upgrading equipment. This is a scam.

Received a call from Steve Mark who said he was calling from Direct TV and our system was being upgraded to wireless. He said we would lose reception if we didn't upgrade now. The cost was $199 and we would get a $30 credit on our bill for a year. He had my credit card number so it seemed ligitimate. I later called Direct TV and was told they were not doing any upgrades. I contacted my credit card about the fraud charge. The bank contacted Wireless Link LLC and was told this was a valid charge. So Wireless Link can fool the banks as well.

Contacted by James in May 2023. I was told my DISH satellite was lost and being redirected. I would need to be charged a one time charge of 149.99, later my monthly charge would be reduced. They had me do some things to make sure my receiver was working, and I spoke to a supervisor. They had much of my information already, but they did need a credit card number, which I reluctantly gave them. I became suspicious, called DISH, and they were not aware of any such event or problem and do not notify clients in that way. I cancelled my credit card, but have been billed and am filing a dispute. They talk fast and are very clever!

I placed an ad for a used car in kijiji.ca and almost immediately received a message from someone claiming to live nearby and expressing real interest, but they demanded a certain VIN report before coming to see the car. So I ordered the report, and it turned out to have almost no information, but I sent it to the guy. I never heard from him again. After I'd received about a dozen similar demands for different VIN reports, I realized this is a common scam. When I got my credit card statement, "WIRELESS LINK LLC DANBURY CT" was what the amount was charged to, and of course I had to pay a foreign currency transaction fee on top of the rip-off.
