Hi there! I too was confused by this. I had two back to back transactions listed as “PBC Chattanooga TN”. Both transactions were only for $.60 each but I immediately became paranoid thinking some identity thieves were just conducting test transactions LOL. I have always joked that if someone ever steals my identity, they are going to be very, very disappointed. I’m very happy to say that I was able to figure it out. My son and I were leaving Walmart, in Cleveland Tennessee and he wanted a drink out of the Coke machine. Of course, I couldn’t find any change so I resorted to using that card to buy two canned drinks. Once I paid a little more attention to my account I realized that it actually specifies a vending machine. I am relieved and I really hope it’s that legitimate for everyone else!! 🙂
It's a vending machine charge. I used a machine at an Ollie's in Hixson, and that's how the charge shows, so no worries.
We bought a soda at a vending machine at a rest area and it showed up our our statement as PBC- CHATTANOOGA TN930
