I have 2 UNAUTHORIZED $1600 charges on my credit from PURETALK HOLDINGS -- is this company a FRAUD hotbed?
I have had multiple attempts from Puretalk Holdings to charge my Paypal Card. The amounts are for $2588.64 on Januarry 21, 2021, $1294.32 on January 21, 2021, $2497.64 on January 22, 2021, $1197 on January 22, 2021, and $1306.70 on January 25, 2021. There was on $10.00 in the account. It is suspicious that the charges are coming through for larger and then smaller amounts each day and then different amounts each time they are attempted. The more concerning thing is that paypal did not flag them and call me to verify the charges after they occurred on multiple dates for different amounts.
Puretalk Holdings hit my checking account on 2 consecutive days -- 3 charges on the first day, 2 charges on the second. The total of the 5 charges was approximately $700. The charges were marked (Pending) when I looked at my account online, so I immediately called my bank (TRUIST) and asked them to please stop the payments. Instead, they told me I should wait and dispute after payment was made. WTF! I then called Puretalk and asked them why they were billing me. I spoke to 2 service reps who confirmed I had no account, or any business relationship with them and didn't understand why I had been billed. At this point I have no idea what is going on with Puretalk Holdings in Covington, GA, except they (or someone spoofing them), tried to hit my account for $700.
