CPC SCP/5601257880 OTTAWA charge checks out. i used canadapost.ca to mail a parcel. Yup, same here. Legit if you sent a parcel of sorts through Canada Post
This is NOT a scam charge. This is a customs fee collected by Canada Post (CPC), which may be for import duty or GST collection. This page should NOT be the first page that comes up in a google search for "CPC" since it's likely a legitimate charge the recipient of an international parcel forgot about by the time they reviewed their Credit Card charges. Don't cancel your credit cards because of this unless you are absolutely certain that you didn't do business with Canada Post at the time the charge was posted.
I have not done any business in Canada and got a $ 220.00 charge on my cc under CPC SCP. I reported it to the cc company while it was still pending and now it looks like it went through. I plan on getting that charge taken off and getting rid of the cc.
